Dear Members and Friends,
In fits and starts, you may have been either buoyed or disheartened by developments reported in the Press: the puerile antics of many MPs. Nil desperandum! All is on course for the no deal exit we have long advocated. Politicians motions are of little consequence unless they sit on the lavatory; mere expressions of opinion, as the clock runs down sharply. Democracy17.4. stands by its prediction that the U.K. will indeed leave the EU on 29th March.
We need to discount most of what we read in the Press, serious journalism becoming a thing of the past, the Press an echo chamber for Establishment propaganda. Although shafts of light do occasionally pierce the gloom. Some weeks ago, an anonymous civil servant wrote an article for the Daily Telegraph, in which he/she said this, so lets quote the verbatim extract: Every day there is some fresh claim in the press.......that we must accept whatever outrageous terms we are offered by an intransigent EU because we are not prepared for no deal and it would be a disaster. If true, it would be a terrible indictment not only of this Government but also of our civil service. And it is absolutely untrue.
To pierce the political fog, we recommend the short video in the Link below, which provides an insightful interpretation of the games being played out in Parliament.

Game Theory Explains Why No Deal is Inevitable - Brexit Explained
It seems like Brexit is at a stand still. There's not been much progress recently and May's deal appears to be failing. Game theory might explain why we've n...

In these extraordinary times, we have borne witness to broken pledges, promises, and principles lying knee-deep on the floor of the House, the most incompetent assembly since Cromwell sent in the musketeers. There exist of course, honourable exceptions, and we urge you to send in letters of encouragement to the ERG and DUP, whether or not they are your constituent MP. A simple line saying how much you appreciate the stand taken will suffice. For, if nothing else, Brexit has opened a window onto our world where the very future of parliamentary democracy is at stake.
Indeed Brexit has become the litmus test. Do we live in a mature democracy where the franchise has been expanded over the past 250 years, or are we mere serfs to an overweening Elite? We have no doubt on the issue. MPs are playing with fire- like Matilda with the matches. To frustrate the expressed will of the majority of the People will make our country ungovernable, and the consequences of destroying the franchise will not be pleasant.
