Although there are constant threats coming out of North Korea about nuclear destruction and other forms of global aggression, it seems that the current UK government has no plans to stop sending taxpayers foreign aid cash over to the secretive rogue state.
According to express.co.uk, in 2015 740,000 of taxpayers money was given to various aid projects in North Korea, according to official figures a 167 per cent increase on the year before.
This is an absurd waste of money at a time when the money could be better spent on projects in Britain, in a case similar to other foreign aid payments that are sent to questionable destinations.
Whether or not the North Koreans have destructive nuclear ambitions of their own, surely its time to cut off this supply of money.
Former Tory defence minister Sir Gerald Howarth said: It is completely absurd to be giving aid to North Korea at this time.
There are some very poor people there because of the regimes actions, but the country is a communist basket case.
They are trying to build a nuclear missile to hit the United States, they are destabilising the entire region. Why on earth are we giving them aid?
Meanwhile, Ukip donor Arron Banks said spending money on aid projects in North Korea is beyond ridiculous.
While we funnel money into this failing state, they are spending most of their own resources developing nuclear weapons designed to wipe us off the map.
Whats next? Giving foreign aid to Islamic State?
The outspoken Mr Banks makes a good point, albeit in an over-exaggerated manner about ISIS well actually you never know do you?
There will always be genuine cases around the world where UK foreign aid cash should be spent, but we are saying that our government should become far more selective when it decides where the payments should go.
People will bang on for hours about our relative prosperity, but even just a small proportion of foreign aid money could make a huge difference at home.
Surely the best place to start this process would be to withdraw payments sent to nations with leaders who are hell bent on destroying the Western World?
The quicker we can get rid of these idiots in charge of the foreign aid budget the better-----------on second thoughts stop all foreign aid and spend it on our people-----not foreigners nor migrants after all it is the peoples money to start with |
