The Bank of England is a private bank, who is behind it?
Why do they have the right to set interest rates?
Why are they accountable to no-one?
These questions must be answered before we let them wipe out peoples pensions and savings.
Is this the biggest PONZI scheme in the world or has the Federal Reserve, another private bank, bigger? |

The Bank of England itself is nationalised and has been since the late 1940s, Its interests rates and QE is very tightly dictated by private interests in the City of London.
The BoE may be owned by the British Government but is controlled by private bankers, It is my view that the Imperial Party to add a new plank to its Platform, the a Bill needs to be passed through Parliament giving Parliament the 100% control of the entire issuence of currency and credit within the UK, and that Interest rates shell be set by transparant Parliementary debate.
The Imperial Party should also support the issuence of Debt-Free Government issued Currency to be spent into the Economy on Clean Energy, Transport and Basic Infastructure. |

The Imperial Party should also introduce strict Usery Laws, like once existed strictly regulating how much interest a borrower can be charged. |

I agree with usuary laws being introduced, what we seem to have at the moment is a free for all on rates of interest and yet savers in our banks and building societies are getting robbed.
This would save a lot of debt and heartache, while we are talking about money credit cards need to bring their interest down to 5% over the Bank of Englands base rate |

While we should look at an immediate introduction of a 5% usery rate on Credit Cards, in the long run we should be looking at banning Credit Cards, we should out-right ban the American Import of "Pay Day loans".
To those who say it is impossible to live without a credit card in this day and age, I say it is very possible.
The Policy of Introducing a usery rate on Credit cards, I think would resonate with the entire British public, infact when the Imperial Party comes to power and introduces this i can see the rest of Euripe following suit. |
