Id be interested to hear what the Imperial Partys view is on the National Defence?.
Do you support UK membership of NATO?.
Would you close the US AirBases on British Soil?. |

An interesting question considering we could not fight our way out of a paper bag at the moment.
The UK forces should be increased for home defence, new weapons and robot drones are needed and our men should not frittered away fighting for our gallant supposed friend America.
It would be a good idea to stay a member of NATO although I cannot fore see any major wars in the immediate future, apart from Iran that is.
As for US air bases on our soil, the truth at the moment is that we cannot defend ourselves so do we have a choice?
I feel that putting more of our young men and women into the forces will have a positive effect but it would be nice to have a regiment made up solely of Muslims, this would show the UK that they really want to be part of the structure. |

In the longterm id like to see a new Alliance that would replace NATO, NATO is a relic of the Cold War, its highly unlikly for many reasons that the Russians will decide to invade Europe any time soon.
I think the new Alliance needs to be one based on mutual security and should include all of Eastern Europe and Russia, sort of a Non-Aggression Pact a Parternership for Peace. |

Given the United States financial problems, 21 years since the end of the Cold War and creeping Isolationism within the Republican Party (Ron Paul), it would seem that the US will eventually close many of its bases over seas. |
