Firms �must hire British staff for social cohesion�

Companies should hire young British people to stop social problems erupting, a business chief said today.

Richard Lambert, the former director of the CBI, issued the warning days after employment minister Chris Grayling urged bosses to hire a hoodie rather than take the �easy� option of employing more experienced Eastern Europeans.

Mr Lambert admitted that in many cases taking on unskilled locals could be more difficult than them swiftly turning into �star recruits�.

But he argued that business �as a whole� should recognise the risks from the soaring number of households where no one has worked, which has doubled to some 300,000 since 1998, and the high proportion of young British men not in education, employment and training.

�A growing under-class has damaging economic implications and represents a potential threat to social cohesion. It cannot simply be ignored,� he told the Financial Times. Mr Lambert highlighted figures this week which showed that the number of UK nationals in work fell by 166,000 to 26.6 million in the three months to February, while the number of non-UK nationals in jobs rose by 166,000 to 2.6 million.

Mr Lambert added: �If companies are unhappy with the attitude of young British employees, it is up to them to do something about it � by engaging with schools at all levels, offering decent workplace experience and providing the training needed to turn raw recruits into valuable employees.�

He suggested firms do more to help youngsters from workless households to get placements.

Strange we have over 2.6 million unemployed in this country the same number of non British nationals have jobs, it does not take a genius to see that if you remove the non nationals there will be work for our unemployed.
Lets get out of the EU and its Human rights laws and get back to being a prosperous nation once again.

London. Just days after figures confirm millions of Britons are still on the dole, unelected EU Commissioner Lazslo Andor called for a relaxation on work restrictions for Eastern Europeans. He wants Britain to act more than 18 months before the official deadline to drop the ban, restricting the acces of Bulgarian and Romanian workers to the labour market of the UK, Daily Express reads.
Mr Andor claimed the need for work permits should be removed because of �the overall positive impact� migrant workers have had on other countries.
The Hungarian-born economist made his outrageous comments in the same week that official figures for the past year showed 166,000 British workers no longer had jobs � matching the number of foreigners getting jobs in UK.
The statistic is the starkest illustration yet of the direct link between record mass immigration and the number of British workers ending up on the dole.
Mr Andor used his 27-page document to hit out at the UK and eight other countries that legitimately block Romanians and Bulgarian workers without permits or who are not self-employed.
He wants a gradual relaxation of the restrictions, which must be removed by December 31, 2013, ready for the �full application of EU law on free movement for Bulgarian and Romanian workers�.
The unemployment rate in Bulgaria is more than 12% compared to Britain�s 8.3%. While Romania has a lower percentage of unemployed people, the standard of living and welfare system is far below that of the UK

Saw a big fat black woman in our supermarket today begging for cash with a big green bucket. She said 'Hello Sir or Lady' to everyone that passed her. This is the second black I have seen there recently collecting money and I think their cause is fraudulent.
It just shows how many we now have in the UK if a backwater town like where I live is getting invaded.
My reckoning is we have about 15 million foreign nationals living in the UK.
Many of them on welfare. We need a gestapo like govt.to kick them all out but its not going to happen.
What will happen is that they will outbreed us and turn this country into a stinking pit like where they come from. So very sad.
