Say NO to Prayer Wheels (wind farms), says astrophysicist
By Robert On October 24, 2013

Green robbery of the public

Astrophysicist Piers Corbyn dismembers UN IPCC Vth Assessment Report Discussion at Royal Society 2-3 Oct 2013

The UN Climate Report is a disgrace to Science, says Corbyn. Theyve changed the facts, and Ive pointed this out.

They said, The data is real.

Yes, yes, yes, I said, but what you left out is crucial. By any stretch of the imaginationthis is fraud.

Very specifically, they said the last 30 years have been warmer than anything else for the last 1400.

. Really? That means the Medieval Warm Period did not exist but we know Greenland was called Greenland because it was warm.

Their claims about CO2 levels and temperature and climate are FACTUALLY FALSE. CO2 levels have been higher than today twice just during the past 200 years.

It was like a political meeting of failed politicians trying to get their message through.

The world is now in the beginning of a mini ice age

The most important general point I was able to make at this meeting was, I asked them, arent you misleading the world? The world is now heading for, and is in the beginning of, a mini ice age. This is going to be a crisis. It means COLD.

They are pointing the world in the wrong direction.

This will cost misery, and lives.

Cowardly cover-up of reality and a disgrace to science

The projections of CO2 warmism have failed totally. Their theory is trashed and the UN Climate Committee the IPCC latest Report (Vth assessment) is a cowardly cover-up of reality and a disgrace to science.

However the failed CO2 warmism protagonists will not give up in the face of objective truth.

They are backed by huge interests including tax-collecting politicians, corrupted climate science academia, self-serving green groups, energy and big-oil companies, subsidized producers of stupid technology such as wind farms (Prayer Wheels) and most of the main TV and newspaper media.

Nevertheless the reality of green robbery of the public in the form of escalating energy and Food prices {driven by energy costs and food burning (biofuel) policies} in a weak economy and cooling world is dawning.

Oh yes it is! Cameron is talking of ditching green subsidies to keep energy bills lower. This is the thin of a wedge which could spell the end of the green swindle, but i doubt it, too late to recover from the damage already inflicted but the begining of the end to future damage.

Alas with rapidly cooling NH temperatures we are on the wrong foot for the coming Cooling Catastrophe so the con goes on aided by the BBC and others.

Lawrence Solomon: A Global Cooling Consensus?

Date: 01/11/13
Lawrence Solomon, Financial Post

Solar activity is now falling more rapidly than at any time in the last 10,000 years

In the 1960s and 1970s, a growing scientific consensus held that the Earth was entering a period of global cooling. The CIA announced that the Western worlds leading climatologists have confirmed recent reports of detrimental global climatic change akin to the Little Ice Age of the 17th and 18th centuries, an era of drought, famine and political unrest in the western world. President Jimmy Carter signed the National Climate Program Act to deal with the coming global cooling crisis. Newsweek magazine published a chilling article entitled The Cooling World.

In the decades that followed, as temperatures rose, climate skeptics mocked the global cooling hypothesis and a new theory emerged that Earth was in fact entering a period of global warming.

Now an increasing number of scientists are swinging back to the thinking of the 1960s and 1970s. The global cooling hypothesis may have been right after all, they say. Earth may be entering a new Little Ice Age.

Real risk of a Maunder Minimum Little Ice Age, announced the BBC this week, in reporting startling findings by Professor Mike Lockwood of Reading University. Professor Lockwood believes solar activity is now falling more rapidly than at any time in the last 10,000 years [raising the risk of a new Little Ice Age] from less than 10% just a few years ago to 25-30%, explained Paul Hudson, the BBCs climate correspondent. If Earth is spared a new Little Ice Age, a severe cooling as occurred in the early 1800s, which also had its fair share of cold winters and poor summers, is, according to him, more likely than not to happen.

During the Little Ice Age, the Sun became eerily quiet, as measured by a near disappearance of the sunspots that are typically present. Solar scientists around the world today see similar conditions, giving impetus to the widespread view that cold times lie ahead. When we have had periods where the Sun has been quieter than usual we tend to get these much harsher winters echoed climatologist Dennis Wheeler from Sunderland University, in a Daily Express article entitled Now get ready for an Ice Age as experts warn of Siberian winter ahead.

Scientists at the Climate and Environmental Physics and Oeschger Centre for Climate Change Research at the University of Berne in Switzerland back up theories that support the Suns importance in determining the climate on Earth. In a paper published this month by the American Meteorological Society, the authors demolish the claims by IPCC scientists that the Sun couldnt be responsible for major shifts in climate. In a post on her website this month, Judith Curry, Chair of the School of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences at the Georgia Institute of Technology, all-but mocked the IPCC assertions that solar variations dont matter. Among the many studies and authorities she cited: the National Research Councils recent report, The Effects of Solar Variability on Earths Climate, and NASA, former home of global warming guru James Hansen.

As NASA highlighted in a press release in January of this year, in citing the NRC report on solar variations: There is, however, a dawning realization among researchers that even these apparently tiny variations can have a significant effect on terrestrial climate. To bolster the argument that solar activity could explain the Little Ice Age as well as lesser changes, NASA then listed some dozen authorities, including Dan Lubin of the Scripps Institution of Oceanography, whose research on other sun-like stars in the Milky Way suggest that the Suns influence could be overpowering.

In the last two years, the scientific communitys openness to examining the role of the Sun in climate change as opposed to the role of man has exploded. Scientists are now rediscovering earlier works by scientists at the Danish National Space Center who as early as the 1990s published peer-reviewed articles demonstrating the Suns role in climate change. And by scientists at the Russian Academy of Sciences Pulkovo Observatory, whose predictions in the last decade that global cooling would start in this decade are looking especially prescient.

Its Not Just Winter, Its a New Ice Age

Its Not Just Winter, Its a New Ice Age

By Alan Caruba

When you consider that a bunch of global warming propagandists, the 19th Conference of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change, to reduce greenhouse gas emissions has been meeting in Warsaw this month are still claiming that we are in the midst of global warming, you have a demonstration of how great a hoax has been perpetrated on the peoples of the world. These people and the scientists who supplied the falsified and inaccurate climate models to support the global warming claims have committed a criminal fraud.

Bit by bit, the truth in the form of increasingly cold weather is causing people to wonder whether they are being duped. The media has either buried the stories of extraordinary cold events or continues to tip-toe around the truth.

An example is a recent Wall Street Journal article by Robert Lee Hotz, Strange Doings on the Sun, Hotz reported that Researchers are puzzled. They cant tell if the lull is temporary or the onset of a decades-long decline, which might ease global warming a bit by altering the suns brightness or the wavelengths of its light.

After describing the fact that the Sun has entered a period of reduced sunspot activity, always a precursor to a cooling cycle and even an ice age, Dr. David Hathaway, head of the solar physics group at NASAs Marshall Space Flight Center, is quoted as saying It may give us a brief respite from global warming, but it is not going to stop it.

Plainly said, you cannot trust what government scientists have to say about global warming. The governments policy since the late 1980s has been that global warming is real and poses a great threat to the Earth. What Dr. Hathaway and other warmists are desperately trying to ignore is the fact that the Earth entered a natural and predictable cooling cycle around 1997 or 1998. It has been cooling ever since!

Not by Fire but by IceIn 1997 Robert W. Felix authored the definitive book on the coming ice age in his book, Not by Fire but by Ice. It is still widely available. His website, IceAgeNow.info provides updated information on the many weather events around the world that demonstrate an ice agewhether it is a mini-ice age or a full-scale oneis occurring. Felix says that a major Ice Age, when it begins, will come on very swiftly.

One post on Felixs website is about Victor Emanuel Velasco Herrera, a geophysicist at the University of Mexico, who predicts that the Earth will enter a Little Ice Age which will last from 60 to 80 years and may be caused by the decrease in solar activity. You dont have to be a geophysicist to figure out that less solar activity adds up to a colder Earth.

2014 is the year many scientists believe an ice age, mini or full-scale will begin. Herrera hedged his prediction saying that with the mass production of current carbon dioxide (CO2) it is unlikely that we will see a major ice age like the one experienced 12,000 years ago. Carbon Dioxide plays no role in warming the Earth. It is a very minor element of the Earths atmosphere.

The implications of an ice age, no matter how long or short, is its impact on the growing of crops to feed everyone. Dr. Tim Patterson of Canadas Carleton Universitys Department of Earth Sciences, in a May 18, 2007 article in the Calgary Times, wrote that satellite data shows that by the year 2020 the next solar cycle is going to be solar cycle 25the weakest one since the Little Ice Age (that started in the 13th century and ended around 1860)should be a great strategic concern in Canada because nobody is farming north of us. In other words, Canadathe great breadbasket of the worldmight not be able to grow grains in much of the prairies. This prediction applies as well, of course, to the U.S. production of grains.

Other scientists have been sounding the alarm, predicting dramatic cooling to begin in the current decade. Dr. Oleg Sorokhtin, a Fellow of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, has noted that Earth has passed the peak of its warmer period and a fairly cold spell will set in quite soon, by 2012, real cold will come when solar activity reaches its minimum, by 2041, and will last for 50-60 years or even longer. While the years cited by scientists may differ, they are in agreement that we are looking at decades of cold.

In the years since the late 1980s when global warming was unleashed on the world as the greatest hoax of the modern era, billions have come to believe the Earth was threatened by greater warming cause by man-made greenhouse gases resulting from industrial and all other uses of fuels such as coal, oil and natural gas. While carbon dioxide has, indeed, increased in the atmosphere, the truth is that the Earth has entered a cooling cycle and that it is on the cusp of very cold weather for decades. We could even cross over into a full-fledged Ice Age because one is overdue at this point in time.

You cannot depend on what the mass media tells you. They are hardwired to continue the global warming hoax. You can, however, educate yourself with books such as Robert Felixs. You can use Google to find out more about ice ages. You can and should prepare yourself for changes in the Earths climate that will have vast impacts on the global economy and on the ability to grow enough crops to feed the worlds population.
