EXCLUSIVE: Fury over Britain's 2m illegal migrants
BRITAIN is now home to two million illegal migrants, with soaring numbers still trying to get here, it emerged last night.

Experts say it means about one in 30 of the UK�s population has no right to be living here.

The rush to start a new life in �soft-touch� Britain sees 52 migrants trying to sneak in every day, according to research by MigrationWatch UK. Last year 19,003 stowaways were seized trying to smuggle themselves in � nearly double the 11,731 caught in 2012.

But the figures show that for every person stopped at the border a further 105 may already be living here illegally. This underground population includes people working in the black economy, those who overstay visas and would-be migrants claiming political asylum.

It comes as 2,000 migrants from dozens of war-ravaged nations continue to congregate at a squalid camp in Calais. Rather than claim asylum in France they have their eyes firmly set on the UK.

Responding to the shock findings last night Nigel Farage, leader of the UK Independence Party, said: �These figures blow out of the water any claim made by this or the previous government that our border control system is anything other than irrevocably shattered.

�It is frankly terrifying to learn quite how bad things have become.

�It is bad enough that hundreds of British-born jihadists are returning through our borders with no controls.

It says Britain�s illegal population has reached at least one million, but says that number could double when their dependents are added.

In total, 63 million people now live in the UK.

The Home Office refused to comment, saying it didn�t do �guesstimates�.

The Daily Express has been at the forefront of uncovering the truth about Britain�s illegal migrants crisis.

Last month alone, 650 attempts by desperate stowaways were recorded in Calais and 550 more at the Channel Tunnel in Coquelles. This paper�s columnist and former Tory minister Ann Widdecombe said: �Every time they are caught on the back of a lorry they claim asylum but we don�t detain them, we let them loose.

�The message has got out that you are never likely to be removed because we are a soft touch.

�That is why they are not interested in claiming asylum in France.�

The epidemic is so out of control that Calais is building a new migrant camp. Its deputy mayor Philippe Mignonet says refugees believe they can �live like kings� in the UK.

He added: �They might leave with �3 but they can make �50 a week on the black market. England is too attractive, it�s too easy.�

Official figures say almost 200 illegals are bundled into the UK every month. Up to March this year, 566 cases of human trafficking were identified by the National Crime Agency.

Immigration Minister James Brokenshire said: �Security at the UK border is our priority and we will continue to strengthen it.

�If people have a genuine need of protection they should claim asylum in the first safe country they reach.�

I spent the weekend looking at the results of the greatest temporary migration in Britain�s long history.

I was at Mons, paying my respects at the graveside of John Parr, the 17-year-old from Finchley who was the first British casualty of the First World War.

On the way back to the UK, I was able to take a look at the embarkation point of part of the largest permanent migration to our shores. I visited Calais.

Natacha Bouchart, the mayor, and Calais have had the thick end of the wedge for many years now, as the failures of both the UK�s and the EU�s migration policy find concrete reality in the shanty camps and lay-bys of the Channel crossing town.

It is not her fault that thousands of migrants pass through her town, washing in on a tide that starts in Eritrea, Afghanistan and Ethiopia.

A tide that pours across the Sahara, across the perilous waters of the Mediterranean � only last weekend we have learnt of another 200 deaths on a flimsy boat off Libya � across the border-free land mass of the EU, to the so-called promised land that is our home.

This trade in people raises millions every year for organised crime and terrorism. It isn�t just a trade in very real human tragedy and misery, but a clear and present threat to our national security. The responsibility for this is shared.

It is our fault we have created a situation that acts as a magnet to people all over the world. Our benefits, our welfare state is seen as a promised land, and with the parlous state of our borders where latest estimates have one in 30 in Britain illegally.

But it is the EU�s fault it has created a border-free continent where people can be trafficked by gangs and which fails to uphold the principles of the Dublin Convention that demands people stay in the country in which they first land.

For years now successive governments have failed to act. They must now. Anything else would be a dereliction of duty, something unthinkable for the like of young John Parr.

So much for the government telling us there are only 63 million people living here-----there are over 8 million muslims in our country now so how long before they out number the ethnic British? all these illegals should be rounded up along with the muslims who are hiding them and they should all be deported------------ pay �1000 per person to bounty hunters to find them and in a short time they will be gone---------not forgetting to get out of the EU and send all there immigrants back as well
