Nearly 120,000 Romanians and Bulgarians have already moved to Britain despite not yet being allowed to work freely in this country, official figures showed yesterday.
SO WHAT DO THEY DO FOR A LIVING-------STEAL
The data from the 2011 census showed that migration to Britain at a rate equivalent to 30,000 a year began as soon as the two countries joined the EU.
The disclosure is fresh evidence that a major movement of Romanian and Bulgarian citizens is likely when restrictions are lifted at the end of the year.
Findings: The census found that in some parts of the country almost one in 10 of the population are citizens of Eastern European countries

The 119,101 Romanians and Bulgarians are among just under 1 million Eastern European citizens now living in Britain, almost all of whom arrived under open-border rules after their countries joined the EU in 2004 and 2007, the census showed.
It found that in some parts of the country almost one in 10 of the population are citizens of Eastern European countries.

Enough is enough! Theresa May breaks up 'troubled' UK Border Agency and returns power to Home Office after immigration backlog which would take 24 years to clear
Migration crackdown 'is smoke and mirrors and will do little to curb expected influx of migrants from Romania and Bulgaria'
In Boston, Lincolnshire the town that sparked a fierce argument over the impact of immigration on BBC TVs Question Time 10.7 per cent of the population are Eastern European passport-holders.
The figures were released at a time of increased political tension over immigration, amid fears of a large-scale influx of Bulgarians and Romanians next year.
Plans: Prime Minister David Cameron promised to make it harder for migrants from outside Europe to get NHS treatment and social housing, and for those from inside the EU to claim state benefits
Plans: Prime Minister David Cameron promised to make it harder for migrants from outside Europe to get NHS treatment and social housing, and for those from inside the EU to claim state benefits
Earlier this week David Cameron tried to reassure voters with promises to make it harder for migrants from outside Europe to get NHS treatment and social housing, and for those from inside the EU to claim state benefits.
Detailed breakdowns published yesterday showed numbers of foreign citizens living in Britain, counted by those who gave their passport nationality on census forms, and of those who declared on the census form the country of their birth.
The real totals may be higher because some in particular immigrants have in the past proved reluctant to fill in census forms or provide the full details they demand.
Yesterdays figures showed there were 73,208 Romanian passport holders in England and Wales on the day the census was taken 27 March 2011.
No details of Bulgarian passport holders were made public, but the figures showed there were 45,893 who said they were born in Bulgaria.
The census was taken just over four years after the two countries joined the EU, under an agreement that while their citizens would be allowed to travel to and live in Britain, they would not be able to work here as employees.
Those rules have now been lifted and Romanians and Bulgarians get free access to the labour market from 1 January next year.
Sir Andrew Green, of the MigrationWatch think-tank, said: These figures validate our projection that 50,000 people a year will come when citizens of the two countries get free access to the labour market in the New Year.
The figure does not include 22,000 workers who come as seasonal fruit pickers under a summer work-permit scheme, and then return home.

Census figures gave an official figure of 988,123 Eastern European citizens present in the country in March 2011 including 588,082 Poles, 104,676 Lithuanians, and 73,208 Romanians. AND THE REST.
Around one and a half million people from the eight Eastern European countries that joined the EU in 2004 are thought to have lived and worked in Britain at some stage.
The census showed the highest concentration of Eastern European citizens in any town in Britain was in Boston, with 10.7 per cent of the population.
The town was at the centre of controversy in January after Cambridge academic Mary Beard told BBC Question Time that local fears over immigration were a myth and that public services can cope.
She was rebuked by businesswoman Rachel Bull, who said services were at breaking point.
Thanks Labour, you managed to do what the Germans and others over the centuries have tried and failed to do. You destroyed a nation.
Cameron hasn't got a clue what to do! Will the EU allow him to impose restrictions? Of course not! Will he stand up to them? Of course not! We need a leader who puts the country first!!
I know someone who would clear these people out, get us out of the EU and the Human rights laws, send all immigrants home, give work and homes to our own people with in a year,
ME.

Many of these E.Europeans are just benefit tourists. Although we have the stats on their numbers there's none on how many are living on welfare.
Romanians in particular with the Roma gypsies are thieves, and masters of deception and vileness. We will have thousands settling here to fill their pockets all thanks to the repulsive EU>
I hope the Euro brings the EU down and we see an end to it. We have lost control of our borders and the worlds flotsam and jetsam is flooding in to our huge detriment. |

One in five immigrants in Europe arrives in Britain, shocking new figures have revealed.
More than 560,000 people moved to Britain in 2011, the highest number in the EU and almost 20 per cent of all migrants moving in and around the continent.
Most of the people moving to the UK come from outside the 27 European Union member states.

Latest figures from Eurostat, the statistics body of the European Commission, reveal the full scale of immigration across nations.
In 2011, the UK topped the immigration league table welcoming 566,000 people, much higher than second place Germany which saw 489,400 migrants arrive. The next highest was Spain with 457,600, followed by Italy on 385,000 and Frances 267,000.
Of those arriving in the UK, 174,100 were from elsewhere in Europe while 313,500 came from outside the EU by far the largest number and three times the 90,000 who moved to France.
Ministers have been under pressure to curb immigration, ahead of the relaxation of limits on Romania and Bulgaria next year.

Home Secretary Theresa May yesterday announced she was scrapping the dysfunctional UK Border Agency after a disastrous five years in which the backlog of immigration cases grew to 320,000.
A Commons committee this week warned it would take 24 years to clear.
David Cameron used a keynote speech on Monday to pledge to curb access to benefits, housing and the NHS to deter migrants moving to Britain.
According to the Eurostat figures, just over 3 million people arrived in EU countries in 2011, either from around the globe or from other member states.
It means that 18 per cent of all migrants settling in the EU choose Britain.

Tough talk: David Cameron this week promised to curb benefits to deter migrants from coming to Britain while yesterday Theresa May told the Commons she was breaking up the dysfunctional UK Border Agency
UK Independence Party leader Nigel Farage said: The statistical evidence is clear. The UK is clearly the one of the favourite ports of call for migration from within the EU.
According to the EU, almost half of the 4.8 million people living here who were born elsewhere came from other EU countries.
That is a city twice the size of Birmingham. And whatever Mr Cameron says, while we remain in the EU, there is absolutely nothing he can do about it, he told the Daily Express.
The coalition insists that more recent figures show immigration into Britain has fallen to its lowest level in nearly a decade.
The number of people coming to live here fell by 74,000 in the 12 months to June last year as curbs on students and workers from outside Europe began to bite.
But Conservative MP Andrew Turner said the EU statistics were alarming. He told the newspaper:
These levels are quite unsustainable. It shows that the Prime Ministers drive to curb benefit levels for non-UK residents is desperately needed. We must stop being the easy touch of Europe.
Funny that, what else would you do when you know how easy it is to get money for nothing. There is also the fact that it's near impossible to get removed, Paved with gold, you bet as long as you are not born in the country |
